| Duck symposium coming to Canada |

For the first time, the North American Duck Symposium will be coming to the Great Lakes basin, one of the contintent's most important staging and migration stopover regions. The symposium will be held Aug. 17-21, 2009 at the Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre in Mississauga. The theme is Duck Ecology and Management in a Changing World. The world's foremost duck-heads will be attending to share stories on conservation and the latest research. This will be the fifth such symposium. The events are held every three years since the North American Duck Symposium was launched in 1997. The first four were held in the north, south and west of the continent, in key prairie habitat (Saskatchewan and North Dakota), and wintering habitats (Louisiana and California). Tag it:           |
