Head of Conservation Parnerships
The Opportunity
Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), one of Canada’s leading conservation organizations, is looking for a highly organized and dedicated Head of Conservation Partnerships to join our National Boreal team in Edmonton, AB.
The Head of Conservation Partnerships (HCP) will focus on the development and stewardship of conservation partnerships in the Boreal Program and identify opportunities to produce project/grant proposals, secure funding and oversee contracts.
In collaboration with other Boreal team members, the HCP will also:
- Develop project/grant proposals for a various stakeholders
- Oversee project tracking and progress reports
- Develop new partnerships and relationships; steward and maintain existing ones (ensuring long-term relationships are maintained)
- Ensure consistent and timely communications with conservation partners during all phases of projects.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of directly related experience including conservation, renewable resource management, revenue generation and working with stakeholders and the public
- A bachelor’s degree with a strong conservation focus.
- Working knowledge of the major issues facing the natural resource conservation communication as well as emerging funding opportunities.
- Excellent internal/external customer service with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to cultivate and foster relationships.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptable to change.
- The successful candidate will be required to submit proof of COVID-19 Vaccination.
