Bilingual Environmental Presenter (French/English)
Position Title: Bilingual Environmental Presenter
Duration: Full time
Reports to: Show Supervisor
Background:
Earth Rangers is the kids’ conservation organization, committed to instilling environmental knowledge, positivity, and the confidence to take action in children. We do this through a suite of programming that children can participate in at school, at home, and in their communities. All of these programs are educational and engaging—but more importantly, they show children that it’s not too late to help the planet, and the things we do today will matter tomorrow.
The School Assembly was the first Earth Rangers program, and has been running consistently since 2004. It began in the Greater Toronto Area, expanding across Ontario in 2008 and then across Canada in 2011. The assembly has been delivered to over 2.1 million elementary students from coast to coast to coast, and consistently receives rave reviews from students, teachers, and administrators alike. The program is offered to schools 100% free of charge, has incredible production value, and inspires kids to become official Earth Rangers themselves through our follow-up programming. For many years, a key component of the presentation has been the inclusion of live animals. A bird flying over your head in the gym is truly unforgettable!
As we look towards the future and, in particular, our recent expansion into the United States, we have developed a new School Assembly that uses innovative and immersive stage and technology elements in place of the live animals, while maintaining the same level of excitement for students. Holograms, animatronics, and 4D elements like wind, fog, and bubbles are all on the table! This presentation is designed to be run by two individuals: a Presenter and a Show Technician.
